174. Matkustaja - Egotrippi

Yöllä linja-autossa
Yksi väsynyt matkustaja
Huuruisesta ikkunasta
Katsoo vaihtuvat maisemat
Laskee vastaantulijat
Pysäkit kun ohi vilahtavat
Tietäen niistä mikä tahansa oisi voinut olla
Se oikea

Asemalta kaikuivat kuulutukset
Kutsuna jota pakoon ei pääse
Nouset kyytiin kerran, oot kyydissä aina

Aina matkalla jonnekin
Minne ikinä päätyykin
On puolitiessä jostain
Tietää sen varsin hyvin itsekin
On olemassa asioita
Niin kipeitä ja vaikeita
Ettei niistä puhumalla selviä

Asemalta kaikuivat kuulutukset
Kutsuna jota pakoon ei pääse
Nouset kyytiin kerran
Oot kyydissä aina
Aina
Aina
Aina

Yöllä linja-autossa
Yksi väsynyt matkustaja

Asemalta kaikuivat kuulutukset
Kutsuna jota pakoon ei pääse
Nouset kyytiin kerran
Oot kyydissä aina

Asemalta kaikuivat
Asemalta kaikuivat
Asemalta kaikuivat
Oot kyydissä aina
Aina

The Traveler

It’s nighttime on the bus
One tired traveler looks
through the foggy window pane
watching as the landscapes change
counts the busstops
as they flash past
Knowing that any one of them could have been
the right one

Announcements echoing from the station
like an inescapable invitation
you took a ride once
now you’re riding
all the time

Always on a trip somewhere
Ending up just anywhere
Halfway back from somewhere
You yourself know very well
There are things
So painful and so hard
that talking won’t solve them

Announcements echoing from the station
like an inescapable invitation
you took a ride once
now you’re riding
all the time
all the time
all the time

It’s nighttime on the bus
One tired traveler looks

Announcements echoing from the station
like an inescapable invitation
you took a ride once
now you’re riding
all the time
all the time
all the time

Echoing from the station
Echoing from the station
Echoing from the station
now you’re aboard
all the time

173. Between love and hate - The Strokes

Watched her as she wiped her eyes;
You don't make me sorry. Now I know
That you never listened - Listen.

Thinking about that high school dance
Worrying about the finals
Yes I know
You're feeling lonely
Oh lonely, so lonely.

Never needed anybody, I never needed anybody
I never needed anybody, I never needed nobody
Don't worry about it, honey
I never needed anybody
I never needed anybody, it won't change now.

Am I wrong?
Don't sing along with me.
I said I was fine,
It's just the second time
We lost the war

She'd be in the kitchen
I would start the fire
Those days are gone
But you know I can't give up - Give up.

P.S. if i may ask why
When will they get tired
We've stayed up
All night tryin' - Tryin'.

Never needed anybody, I never needed nobody
I never needed anybody, I never needed anybody
Don't worry about it, honey
I never needed anybody
I never needed anybody, it won't change now.

Am I wrong?
Don't sing along with me.
I said I was fine.
The second time
We lost the war

172. Sinä lähdit pois - Ultra Bra

Aamuyöllä kumpikaan meistä ei jaksa enää juhlia
Aamuyöllä kumpikaan meistä ei jaksa enää juhlia
Väsyneet katseet, käheät äänet,
taustalla aurinko joka ei lämmitä
taustalla aurinko joka ei lämmitä
Sinä lähdit pois
minä katselin parvekkeelta
loittonevaa selkääsi
kiersit vesilammikot
ja arvaan ettet murehdi tätä eroa
Pensaiden kaikki laulavat linnut aamulla ennen seitsemää
Pensaiden kaikki laulavat linnut aamulla ennen seitsemää
Väsyneet katseet, käheät äänet,
taustalla aurinko joka ei lämmitä
taustalla aurinko joka ei lämmitä
Sinä lähdit pois...
Yön viimeinen drinkki
aamiaiseksi vaihtuu
lisäsin siihen kahvia

171. The Saturday option - Lambchop

Heaven is a disaster
And you won't get there any faster
Mine is a lazy bumpus
That's been left out here, in the rumpus

Do the shabby thing
With you
Separate the wood
From the screw

Yes, that was the bet shot
Bleach is mixed with apricot
Regards are sent to authorities
Who maintain their set priorities

Do the shabby thing
With you
Separate the wood
From the screw

Do the shabby thing
With you
Separate the lilly
From the dew

Lest, we forget the best part
Elevate,toward a higher art
Investigate, such a stinking truth
Positive, in no need of proof

Do the shabby thing
With you
Separate the beef
From the stew

Do the shabby thing
With you
Separate the wood
From the screw

170. Quero que vá tudo pro Inferno - GNR

De que vale o céu azul
E o sol sempre a brilhar
Se você não vem
E eu estou a lhe esperar

Só tenho você no meu pensamento
E a sua ausência é todo meu tormento
Eu quero que você me aqueça neste inverno
E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

De que vale a minha
Boa vida de play-boy
Se entro no meu carro
E a solidão me dói

Eu quero que você me aqueça neste inverno
E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

Não suporto mais
Você longe de mim
Quero até morrer
Do que viver assim
Só quero que você me aqueça nesse Inverno
E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

uou uou

Eu quero que você me aqueça neste Inverno
E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

uou uou

E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

uou uou

E que tudo mais vá pro Inferno

169. A wolf at the door - Radiohead

Drag him out your window
Dragging out the dead
Singing I miss you
Snakes and ladders flip the lid
Out pops the cracker
Smacks you in the head
Knifes you in the neck
Kicks you in the teeth
Steel toe caps
Takes all your credit cards
Get up get the guns
Get the axe
Get the flan in the face
The flan in the face
The flan in the face
Dance you fucker dance you fucker
Don't you dare
Don't you dare
Don't you flan in the face
Take it with the love its given
Take it with a pinch of salt
Take it to the taxman
Let me back
Let me back
I promise to be good
Don't look in the mirror at the face you don't recognize
Help me, call the doctor, put me inside
Put me inside
Put me inside
Put me inside
Put me inside

I keep the wolf from the door
But he calls me up
Calls me on the phone
Tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up
Steal all my children if I don't pay the ransom
And I'll never see them again if I squeal to the cops. . . .

Walking like giant cranes
And with my X-ray eyes I strip you naked
in a tight little world
are you on the list?
Stepford wives who are we to complain?
Investments and dealers
Investments and dealers
Cold wives and mistresses
Cold wives and Sunday papers
City boys in First Class don't know they're born little
Someone else is gonna come and clean it up
Born and raised for the job
Someone always does
I wish you'd get up get over
get up, get over and turn the tape off

I keep the wolf from the door
But he calls me up
Calls me on the phone
Tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up
Steal all my children if I don't pay the ransom
And I'll never see them again if I squeal to the cops

So I just go ooh ooh ooh ooh

168. Pronúncia do Norte - GNR

Há um prenúncio de morte
Lá do fundo donde eu venho
Os antigos chamam-lhe reilho
Novos ricos são má sorte
É a pronúnia do Norte
Os tontos chamam-lhe torpe
Hemisfério fraco outro forte
Ai o dia não sejas triste
A bússula não sei se existe
E o plano talvez aborte
Nem guerra, bairro ou corte
É a pronúncia do Norte
É um prenúncio de morte
Corre o rio para o mar
(Isabel Silvestre)
Não tenho barqueiro
Nem em de remar
Procuro caminhos
Novos para andar
Colheste uns ramos
Onde os pousaste
É a magia das pérolas
Das fontes secar
Corre o rio para o mar
E há um prenúncio de morte
E as teias que vidram
Nas janelas
Esperam um barco
Parecido com elas
Não tenho barqueiro
Nem em que remar
Procuro caminhos
Novos para andar
E é a pronúncia do Norte
Corre o rio para o mar
(Rui Reininho e Isabel Silvestre)
E as teias que vidram
Nas janelas
Esperam um barco
Parecido com elas
Não tenho barqueiro
Nem em que remar
Procuro caminhos
Novos para andar
É a pronúncia do Norte
Corre o rio para o mar.

167. Cousins - Vampire Weekend

You found a sweater on the ocean floor
They're gonna find it if you didn't close the door.
You and this model sit outside the side
In a house on a street they wouldn't park on at night.

Dad was a risk taker.
His was a shoe maker.
You greatest hits 2006, Little listmaker.
Caught in the melody, You wait in the car.
You were born with ten fingers and you're gonna use them all.

Interest in girls as I discovered myself
If your odd-life was greater
You'll be toastin' my health
If an interest in culture,
You should be lining the walls.
When your birth right is interest
You could just accrue it all.

Me and my cousins and you and your cousins
Its a line that is always running.
Me and my cousins, You and your cousins,
I can feel it coming

You could turn your back on the bitter world [4x]

Me and my cousins and you and your cousins
Its a line that is always running.
Me and my cousins, You and your cousins,
I can feel it coming

Me and my cousins and you and your cousins
Its a line that is always running.
Me and my cousins, You and your cousins,
I can feel it coming

166. Hurricane - Bob Dylan

Pistols shots ring out in the barroom night
Enter Patty Valentine from the upper hall
She sees the bartender in a pool of blood
Cries out "My God they killed them all"
Here comes the story of the Hurricane
The man the authorities came to blame
For something that he never done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

Three bodies lying there does Patty see
And another man named Bello moving around mysteriously
"I didn't do it" he says and he throws up his hands
"I was only robbing the register I hope you understand
I saw them leaving" he says and he stops
"One of us had better call up the cops"
And so Patty calls the cops
And they arrive on the scene with their red lights flashing
In the hot New Jersey night.

Meanwhile far away in another part of town
Rubin Carter and a couple of friends are driving around
Number one contender for the middleweight crown
Had no idea what kinda shit was about to go down
When a cop pulled him over to the side of the road
Just like the time before and the time before that
In Patterson that's just the way things go
If you're black you might as well not shown up on the street
'Less you wanna draw the heat.

Alfred Bello had a partner and he had a rap for the corps
Him and Arthur Dexter Bradley were just out prowling around
He said "I saw two men running out they looked like middleweights
They jumped into a white car with out-of-state plates"
And Miss Patty Valentine just nodded her head
Cop said "Wait a minute boys this one's not dead"
So they took him to the infirmary
And though this man could hardly see
They told him that he could identify the guilty men.

Four in the morning and they haul Rubin in
Take him to the hospital and they bring him upstairs
The wounded man looks up through his one dying eye
Says "Wha'd you bring him in here for ? He ain't the guy !"
Yes here comes the story of the Hurricane
The man the authorities came to blame
For something that he never done
Put in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

Four months later the ghettos are in flame
Rubin's in South America fighting for his name
While Arthur Dexter Bradley's still in the robbery game
And the cops are putting the screws to him looking for somebody to blame
"Remember that murder that happened in a bar ?"
"Remember you said you saw the getaway car?"
"You think you'd like to play ball with the law ?"
"Think it might-a been that fighter you saw running that night ?"
"Don't forget that you are white".

Arthur Dexter Bradley said "I'm really not sure"
Cops said "A boy like you could use a break
We got you for the motel job and we're talking to your friend Bello
Now you don't wanta have to go back to jail be a nice fellow
You'll be doing society a favor
That sonofabitch is brave and getting braver
We want to put his ass in stir
We want to pin this triple murder on him
He ain't no Gentleman Jim".

Rubin could take a man out with just one punch
But he never did like to talk about it all that much
It's my work he'd say and I do it for pay
And when it's over I'd just as soon go on my way
Up to some paradise
Where the trout streams flow and the air is nice
And ride a horse along a trail
But then they took him to the jailhouse
Where they try to turn a man into a mouse.

All of Rubin's cards were marked in advance
The trial was a pig-circus he never had a chance
The judge made Rubin's witnesses drunkards from the slums
To the white folks who watched he was a revolutionary bum
And to the black folks he was just a crazy nigger
No one doubted that he pulled the trigger
And though they could not produce the gun
The DA said he was the one who did the deed
And the all-white jury agreed.

Rubin Carter was falsely tried
The crime was murder 'one' guess who testified
Bello and Bradley and they both baldly lied
And the newspapers they all went along for the ride
How can the life of such a man
Be in the palm of some fool's hand ?
To see him obviously framed
Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land
Where justice is a game.

Now all the criminals in their coats and their ties
Are free to drink martinis and watch the sun rise
While Rubin sits like Buddha in a ten-foot cell
An innocent man in a living hell
That's the story of the Hurricane
But it won't be over till they clear his name
And give him back the time he's done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

165. The sound of silence - Simon & Garfunkel

Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
'Neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you."
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence.

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
And the sign said, the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence.

164. I will - Radiohead

I will
Lay me down
In a bunker
Underground
I won’t let this happen to my children
Meet the real world coming out of your shell
With white elephants
Sitting ducks
I will
Rise up
Little babies eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes
Little babies eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes
Little babies eyes, eyes, eyes

163. Cold cold water - Mirah

I saddled up my pony right
And rode into the ghostly night
It was wide, wide open, wide, wide open

I left the only home I knew
I stayed alive and I found you
Now I take you where the water's deep
And make the air you breathe so sweet

But is it not enough to be complete? Please?
Let me give you everything you need, please?

We found a way, we found a street
Directions sweat under the sheets
And I let you have it, let you have it

But it can be a lonely place
Desire comes, desire fades
There's a bright one caught your fancy eye
It's okay so long as you stay mine

And I'm so number one that it's a shame, a shame
That you let other numbers in the game

Now I suffer for your hungry eye
Oh why must it see more than mine?
It's a light you're after, 'cause light moves faster

But when I ride again into the night
My torch will shoot flames strong and violent
And my absence will remind you of
How tough it is to be in love

And it's not what I think it's what you say, hey
And it works great for you to have your way, hey

But if the west can be a desperate place
You search all day for just a taste
Of the cold, cold water, cold, cold water

And if you think i've gone too long
Listen the sky will sing this song
As it burns up all the memories
That flow like water out of me

162. In any other world - Mika

In any other world
You could tell the difference
And let it all unfurl
Into broken remanence

Smile like you mean it
And let yourself let go

'Cause it's all in the hands
Of a bitter bitter man

Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Take a bow
Play the part
Of a lonely lonely heart
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
To the world you thought you lived in

I try to live alone
But lonely is so lonely alone
So human as I am
I had to give up my defenses

So I smile and try to mean it
To make myself let go

'Cause it's all in the hands
Of a bitter bitter man

Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Take a bow
Play the part
Of a lonely lonely heart
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
To the world you thought you lived in

'Cause it's all in the hands
Of a bitter bitter man

Say goodbye to world
You thought you lived in
Take a bow
Play the part
Of a lonely lonely heart
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in
Say goodbye to the world
You thought you lived in

To the world you thought you lived in

In any other world
You could tell the difference

161. Estou além - António Variações

Nao consigo dominar
Este estado de ansiedade
A pressa de chegar
P'ra nao chegar tarde

Nao sei de que é que eu fujo
Sera desta solidao
Mas porque é que eu recuso
Quem quer dar-me a mao

Vou continuar a procurar
A quem eu me quero dar
Porque até aqui eu só:
Quero quem quem eu nunca vi
Porque eu só quero quem
Quem nao conheci
Porque eu só quero quem
Quem eu nunca vi
Porque eu só quero quem
Quem nao conheci
Porque eu só quero quem
Quem eu nunca vi

Esta insatisfacao
Nao consigo compreender
Sempre esta sensacao
Que estou a perder

Tenho pressa de sair
Quero sentir ao chegar
Vontade de partir
P'ra outro lugar

Vou continuar a procurar
A minha forma
O meu lugar
Porque até aqui eu só:
Estou bem aonde eu nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde eu nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde nao estou
Estou bem aonde eu nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde eu nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde eu nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde nao estou
Porque eu só quero ir
Aonde eu nao vou
Porque eu só estou bem
Aonde nao estou

160. Let the happiness in - David Sylvian

I'm waiting on the empty docks
Watching the ships come in
I'm waiting for the agony to stop
Oh, let the happiness in

I'm watching as the gulls all settle down
Upon the empty vessels
The faded whites of their wedding gowns
The songs of hopeless selflessness

The cold December Sun
A cold that blisters
The hands of a working man
Wasted

I'm waiting on the empty docks
Watching the ships roll in
I'm waiting for the agony to stop
Oh, let the happiness in

Oh, let the happiness in

Oh, let the happiness in

Listen to the waves against the rocks
I don't know where they've been
I'm waiting for the sky to open up
And let the happiness in

Oh, let the happiness in

Oh, let the happiness in
'Cause it's coming
Coming home

Let the happiness in

Oh, let the happiness in
'Cause it's coming
Coming on, calling home

Oh, let the happiness in

'Cause it's coming, coming home

Oh, let the happiness in

159. City sickness - Tindersticks

I'm crawling, don't know where to or from
The centre of things from where everything stems
Is not where I belong
And the city sickness, growing inside me
So this is where I ran for freedom
Where I may not be free
Chorus:

I have these hands beating with love for you
And you're not here to touch
Sent you away, what else can I do
When I need something that much?
I'm hurting babe, in the city there's no place for love
It's just used to make people feel better
It's not like us
I got this sickness as I got off the train
Now it chafes away at my heart
Until nothing remains
(Chorus)

I'm okay afterwards
Afterwards lasts for minutes only
I'm okay during
You kind of fill up my mind
It's just that before, may last forever
It's just that before, may just fuck my mind

(Chorus)

158. Mr. Tough - Yo La Tengo

Hey Mr. Tough
Don't you think we've suffered enough?
Why don't you meet me on the dancefloor
When it's Tiny Tom time?
And if you need to tell me something once
You won't have to say it twice
And if you ask for a nickel
I'm gonna hand you a dime
And we'll forget about our problems
Ignore them for a little while
And leave our worries in the corner
Leave them in a big big pile
Pretend everything can be alright

Hey Mrs. Blue
Time to think of something new
The Possum's spinning our hips
The old soft shoe
And if you wanna lose the rest of the night
There's nothing better I have to do
And if I tell you something
You won't have to ask if it's true
And we'll forget about our problems
Ignore them for a little while
And leave our worries in the corner
Leave them in a big big pile
Pretend everything can be alright

Alone in our pad on Saturday night
Hemmed in by the room
But hiding at a crowded party
The record's playing for just me and you

Hey Mr. Tough
Don't you think we've suffered enough?
Why don't you meet me on the dancefloor
When it's Toddophonic time?
And if you need to tell me something once
You won't have to say it twice
And if you ask for a nickel
I'm gonna hand you a dime
And we'll forget about our problems
Ignore them for a little while
And leave our worries in the corner
Leave them in a big big pile
Pretend everything can be alright
Pretend everything can be alright
Pretend everything can be alright

157. Magnet - Yo La Tengo

I'm like a magnet
You're like a piece of wood
Can't get together
Don't make me feel too good

I'm like a convict
You're like the FBI
I ask for breakfast
You bring a piece of pie
I know it's useless to say
How it used to be
Why do you treat me this way
If you could only see

You're like a magnet
I'm like a piece of steel
The way you break my will

I'm like a rowboat
You're like the queen mary
I play a tango
You play a symphony
When you have a problem or two
Can't you see I'm trying
When I see you smiling like that
Makes me change my mind

You're like a magnet
I'm like a piece of steel
The way you break my will

You're like a magnet
I'm like a piece of steel
The way you break my will

156. Let's pretend - Tindersticks

Let's not make it into a big thing
Let's not get lost in this
I know it is, I know we could
I guess we surely would
Let's pretend it's not
It doesn't mean a thing
Let's not blow it out of all senses
As though it meant so much
It's always thought about for weeks
Not everytime your lips meet mine, I think of her
But when her hands reach out, I think of you

155. All my days - Alexi Murdoch

Well I have been searching all of my days
All of my days
Many a road, you know
I?ve been walking on
All of my days
And I?ve been trying to find
What?s been in my mind
As the days keep turning into night

Well I have been quietly standing in the shade
All of my days
Watch the sky breaking on the promise that we made
All of this rain
And I?ve been trying to find
What?s been in my mind
As the days keep turning into night

Well many a night I found myself with no friends standing near
All of my days
I cried aloud
I shook my hands
What am I doing here
All of these days
For I look around me
And my eyes confound me
And it?s just too bright
As the days keep turning into night

Now I see clearly
It?s you I?m looking for
All of my days
Soon I?ll smile
I know I?ll feel this loneliness no more
All of my days
For I look around me
And it seems He found me
And it?s coming into sight
As the days keep turning into night
As the days keep turning into night
And even breathing feels all right
Yes, even breathing feels all right
Now even breathing feels all right
It?s even breathing
Feels all right

154. Vinho do Porto - Carlos Paião

Primeiro a serra semeada terra a terra

E nasce o fruto quantas vezes diminuto

Suor do rosto pra pisar e ver o mosto
Nos lagares do bom caminho
Nos lagares do bom caminho
Assim cuidado faz-se o sonho e fermentado
Generoso como o vinho
Generoso como o vinho

E pelo rio vai dourado o nosso brio
Nos rabelos duma vida
Nos rabelos duma vida
E para o mundo vão garrafas cá do fundo
De uma gente envaidecida
De uma gente envaidecida

Vinho do Porto
Vinho de Portugal
E vai à nossa
À nossa beira mar
À beira Porto
À vinho Porto mar
Há-de haver Porto
Para o nosso mar

Vinho do Porto
Vinho de Portugal
E vai à nossa
À nossa beira mar
À beira Porto
À vinho Porto mar
Há-de haver Porto
Para o desconforto
Para o que anda torto
Neste navegar

Vinho do Porto vou servi-lo neste cálice

Tudo à volta é tão feio, só me apetece fugir.
Vejo-me à noite ao espelho, o corpo sempre a mudar,

Nao há-a-a estrelas no céu...

152. Há uma música do povo - Mariza

Há uma musica do Povo,
Nem sei dizer se é um Fado –
Que ouvindo-a há um ritmo novo
No ser que tenho guardado…

Ouvindo-a sou quem seria
Se desejar fosse ser…
É uma simples melodia
Das que se aprendem a viver…

Mas é tão consoladora
A vaga e triste canção…
Que a minha alma já não chora
Nem eu tenho coração…

Sou uma emoção estrangeira,
Um erro de sonho ido…
Canto de qualquer maneira
E acabo com um sentido!

151. Ó gente da minha terra - Mariza

É meu e vosso este fado
Destino que nos amarra
Por mais que seja negado
Às cordas de uma guitarra

Sempre que se ouve o gemido
De uma guitarra a cantar
Fica-se logo perdido
Com vontade de chorar

Ó gente da minha terra
Agora é que eu percebi
Esta tristeza que trago
Foi de vós que a recebi

E pareceria ternura
Se eu me deixasse embalar
Era maior a amargura
Menos triste o meu cantar

Ó gente da minha terra
Agora é que eu percebi
Esta tristeza que trago
Foi de vós que a recebi

150. Present tense - Pearl Jam

Do you see the way that tree bends?
Does it inspire?
Leanin' out to catch the sun's ray
A lesson to be applied
Are you getting something out of this?
All encompassing trip

You can spend your time alone
Redigesting past regrets, Oh
Or you can, come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, Oh
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense

Have you ideas on how this life ends?
Checked your hands and studied the lines?
Have you the belief that the road ahead
Ascends off into the light?

Seems that needlessly it's gettin' harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we gettin' something out of this
All encompassing trip

You can spend your time alone
Redigesting past regrets, Oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, Oh
Ah, makes much more sense to live in the present tense

149. Rocket man - David Fonseca

She packed by bag last night, preflight
Zero hour, nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high
As a kite by then

I miss the earth so much
I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Ah, no no no...
I'm a rocket man
Rocket man
Burnin' out his fuse
Up here alone

Mars ain't the kind of place
To raise your kids
In fact, it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them
If you did

And all this science
I don't understand
It's just my job
Five days a week
A Rocket Man
Rocket Man

And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Ah, no no no...

And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Ah, no no no...
I'm a rocket man
Rocket man
Burnin' out his fuse
Up here alone

And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long, time

Long, long, time
Long, long, time

Ah, no, no, no...
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no...

148. Nem às paredes confesso - Amália Rodrigues

Não queiras gostar de mim
Sem que eu te peça
Nem me dês nada que ao fim
Eu não mereça

Vê se me deitas depois
Culpas no rosto
Isto é sincero
Porque não quero
Dar-te um desgosto

De quem eu gosto
Nem às paredes confesso
E até aposto
Que não gosto de ninguém

Podes sorrir
Podes mentir
Podes chorar também
De quem eu gosto
Nem às paredes confesso

Quem sabe se te esqueci
Ou se te quero
Quem sabe até se é por ti
Por quem eu espero

Se eu gosto ou não afinal
Isso é comigo
Mesmo que penses
Que me convences
Nada te digo

De quem eu gosto
Nem às paredes confesso
E até aposto
Que não gosto de ninguém

Podes sorrir
Podes mentir
Podes chorar também
De quem eu gosto
Nem às paredes confesso

Podes sorrir
Podes mentir
Podes chorar também
De quem eu gosto
Nem às paredes confesso

147. Two halves - My Morning Jacket

Remember when you were seventeen
You goin' crazy, you know what I mean
It wasn't that long ago
In the grand scheme of things
It wasn't that long ago
You think you're so much smarter now
Twenty one everything stays in place
Forty one some things start to fade
Well when you're so young, you wanna be older
And when you're older, you want the body you have now
I believe in a perfect world
You rule your own universe
The only gun you'll ever need will be in your brain
The only gun you'll need is in your hands

You want this now you want that
Can't have it all you should enjoy what you have
But I know what you want
Well I know what you want
Well I know what you want, you want the better of two halves!
Well I know what you want
Well I know what you want
Well I know what you want, you want the better of two halves!

146. Mundos mudos - Da Weasel

Tu deste tudo e eu joguei, arrisquei e perdi agora,

Ocasionalmente cozinho e bebo o meu vinho
Tu deste tudo e eu joguei, arrisquei e perdi agora,

145. The yeah yeah yeah song - The Flaming Lips

Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah [x9]
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh........ (from the third yeah yeah yeah to the eighth)

If you could blow up the world
With the flick of a switch
Would you do it?
(Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah)
If you could make everybody poor
Just so you could be rich
Would you do it?
(Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah)

If you could watch everybody work
While you just lay on your back
Would you do it?
(Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah)
If you could take all the love
Without giving any back
Would you do it?
(Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah)

And so we cannot know ourselves
Or what we'd really do

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you do?

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you do?

(No no no no, no no no no)

If you could make your own money
And then give it to everybody
Would you do it?
(No no no no, no no no no)
If you knew all the answers
And could give to the masses
Would you do it?
(No no no no, no no no no)

Are you crazy?
It's a very dangerous thing to do
Exactly what you want
Because you cannot know yourself,
Or what you'd really do

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you
Do do do do, do do do do [x2]
(Yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah) [x10]
ahhhhhhhhhh...... (from third yeah yeah line to the last one)

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you do?

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you do?

With all your power
With all your power
With all your power
What would you do?

144. Boa sorte / Good Luck - Vanessa da Mata

Vanessa:
É só isso
Não tem mais jeito
Acabou, boa sorte

Não tenho o que dizer
São só palavras
E o que eu sinto
Não mudará

Tudo o que quer me dar
É demais
É pesado
Não há paz

Tudo o que quer de mim
Irreais
Expectativas
Desleais

Ben Harper:
That's it
There's no way
It's over
Good luck

I've nothing left to say
It's only words
And what l feel
Won't change

Vanessa da Mata/Ben Harper:
Tudo o que quer me dar
(Everything you want to give me)
É demais
(It's too much)
É pesado
(It’s heavy)
Não há paz
(There is no peace)
Tudo o que quer de mim
(All you want from me)
Irreais
(Isn’t real)
Expectativas
(Expectations)
Desleais

Vanessa:
Mesmo se segure
Quero que se cure
Dessa pessoa
Que o aconselha

Há um desencontro
Veja por esse ponto
Há tantas pessoas especiais

Ben Harper:
Now even if you hold yourself
I want you to get cured
From this person
Who advises you

There is a disconnection
See through this point of view
There are so many
Special people in the world
So many special
People in the world
In the world
All you want
All you want

Vanessa da Mata/Ben Harper:
Tudo o que quer me dar
(Everything you want to give me)
É demais
(It's too much)
É pesado
(It's heavy)
Não há paz
(There's no peace)

Tudo o que quer de mim
(All you want from me)
Irreais
(isn’t real)
Expectativas
(That expectations)
Desleais

Vanessa da Mata/Ben Harper:
Now we're falling
Falling, falling
Falling into the night
Into the night
Falling, falling, falling
Falling into the night
Um bom encontro é de dois
Now we're falling
Falling, falling
Falling into the night
Into the night
Falling, falling, falling
Falling into the night

143. Lado lunar - Rui Veloso

Não me mostres o teu lado feliz

Não me abras assim o teu mundo
Embora seja ele que me esteja a enganar

Chamemos-lhe apenas o lado lunar
Mostra-me o teu lado lunar

Desvenda-me o teu lado mauzão
O túnel secreto a loja de horrores
A arca escondida debaixo do chão

Mostra-me o avesso da tua alma

142. Martha - Tom Waits

Operator, number, please:
it's been so many years
Will she remember my old voice
while I fight the tears?
Hello, hello there, is this Martha?
this is old Tom Frost,
And I am calling long distance,
don't worry 'bout the cost.
'Cause it's been forty years or more,
now Martha please recall,
Meet me out for coffee,
where we'll talk about it all.

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I feel so much older now,
and you're much older too,
How's your husband?
and how's the kids?
you know that I got married too?
Lucky that you found someone
to make you feel secure,
'Cause we were all so young and foolish,
now we are mature.

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I was always so impulsive,
I guess that I still am,
And all that really mattered then
was that I was a man.
I guess that our being together
was never meant to be.
And Martha, Martha,
I love you can't you see?

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I remember quiet evenings
trembling close to you...
