262. Lisboa rainha do mar - Madredeus
Senhora do Mar
do mundo e da vida
cidade sem par
foi Lisboa antiga
Vejo o manto branco
do seu casario
e vejo as mil velas
dos barcos no rio
Ainda não sei
se o reinado durou
mas em tempo a Senhora
foi dita Rainha
Rainha do mar
que ao mar se levou
e o que é ficou
da Lisboa antiga
eu não sei ainda
Vejo esta cidade
parada no tempo
deve ser saudade
a vista que invento
Lisboa recorda
aquele momento
em que foi Senhora
e do mar Rainha
levada pelo vento

261. Don't look back in anger - Oasis
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the Brains I had went to my head
Step outside the summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows, if it's night or day.
Please don't put your life in the hays
Of a Rock 'n Roll band
Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start the revolution from my bed
'Cos you said the Brains I had went to my head
Step outside cos summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cos you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by.
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
And So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late and she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger
I heard you say
At least not today.

260. Lucky - Radiohead
I'm on a roll,
I'm on a roll this time.
I feel my luck could change.
Kill me sarah,
kill me again with love.
It's gonna be a glorious day.
Pull me out of the aircrash,
pull me out of the lake,
'cause I'm your superhero.
We are standing on the edge.
The head of state
has called for me by name
but I don't have time for him.
It's gonna be a glorious day!
I feel my luck could change.
Pull me out of the aircrash,
pull me out of the Wake,
'cause I'm your superhero.
We are standing on the edge.
We are standing on the edge.

259. Just breathe - Pearl Jam
Yes I understand that every life must end, aw huh...
As we sit alone, I know someday we must go, aw huh...
I'm a lucky man to count on both hands
The ones I love...
Some folks just have one
Others they got none, aw huh...
Stay with me
Let's just breathe
Practiced are my sins
Never gonna let me win, aw huh...
Under everything, just another human being, aw huh...
Yea, I don't wanna hurt, there's so much in this world
To make me bleed
Stay with me
You're all I see
Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn't I'm a fool you see
No one knows this more than me
As I come clean
I wonder everyday
As I look upon your face, aw huh...
Everything you gave
And nothing you would take, aw huh...
Nothing you would take
Everything you gave
Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn't I'm a fool you see
No one knows this more than me
As I come clean
Nothing you would take
Everything you gave
Hold me 'till I die
Meet you on the other side
258. Here comes the sun - The Beatles
Here comes the sun, doo da doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
Little darling
It's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling
I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and i say,
It's alright X2
257. Could you be loved - Bob Marley
Could you be loved... and be loved...
Could you be loved... and be loved...
Don't let them fool ya,
Or even try to school ya! Oh, no!
We've got a mind of our own,
So go to hell if what you're thinking is not right!
Love would never leave us alone,
Against the darkness there must come out the light.
Could you be loved... and be loved...
Could you be loved...wo yeah... and be loved...
(The road of life is rocky and you may stumble too,
So while you point your fingers someone else is judging you)
Love your brotherman!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?)
Don't let them change ya, oh! -
Or even rearrange ya! Oh, no!
We've got a life to live. (ooh, ooh, ooh)
They say: only - only -
only the fittest of the fittest shall survive -
Stay alive! Eh!
Could you be loved... and be loved...
Could you be loved... wo now... and be loved...
(You ain't gonna miss your water, until your well runs dry;
No matter how you treat him, he’ll never be satisfied.)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something! (Say something!)
Say something! Say something! (Could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something! Reggae, reggae!
Say something! Rasta, rasta!
Say something! Reggae, reggae!
Say something! Rasta, rasta!
Say something! (Could you be loved?)
Say something! Uh!
Say something! Come on!
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?
256. End love - Ok Go
Oh sugar, oh sugar can't you see how hard I'm trying?
You know you gotta, you know you gotta eventually make up your mind.
'Cause no one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark.
No one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark.
No one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark. No one's gonna find you.
So won't you, so won't you talk to me?
It's time to decide.
'Cause no one's gonna save you if you don't swim for the boat.
No one's gonna save you if you won't take the rope.
No one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark. No one's gonna find you.
And it's end love, the sky is falling.
So sugar, so sugar dance with me this one last time.
We got no reason, we got no reason I can see to hold back tonight.
'Cause no one's gonna catch you if you can't just let go.
No one's gonna love you if you can't let love show.
No one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark. No one's gonna find you.
And it's end love, and the sky is falling.
Oh sugar, oh sugar can't you see how hard I'm trying?
You know you gotta, you know you gotta eventually make up your mind.
And it's end love, the sky is falling.

255. Yesterday - The Beatles
Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh yesterday came suddenly
Why she had to go
I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong
now I long for yesterday
Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh I believe in yesterday
Why she had to go
I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong
now I long for yesterday
Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh I believe in yesterday
254. Your protector - Fleet Foxes
She left a week to roam
Your protector's coming home
Keep your secrets with you, girl
Safe from the outside world
You walk along the stream
Your head caught in a waking dream
Your protector's coming home (coming home)
As you lay to die beside me, baby
On the morning that you came
Would you wait for me?
The other one,
would wait for me (2x)
You run with the devil (2x)
Ooh ooh ooh...
Tell your brother to be good
Tell your sister not to go
Tell your mother not to wait
Tell your father I was good
As you lay to die beside me, baby
On the morning that you came
Would you wait for me?
The other one,
would wait for me
Ooh ooh ooh...
253. Unintended - Muse
You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You could be the one I'll always love
You could be the one who listens
To my deepest inquisitions
You could be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken
Pieces of the life I had before
First there was the one who challenged
All my dreams and all my balance
She could never be as good as you
You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You should be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken
Pieces of the life I had before
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken
Pieces of the life I had before
Before you

252. Sick and tired - The Cardigans
sick, tired and homeless
with no one here to sing for
tired of being weightless
for all these looking good boys
you can always say my attic has its charm
you can always say you did no major harm
you can always say that summer had its charm
and that you did no major harm
oh, spare me if you please
sick, tired an sleepless
with no one else to shine for
sick of all my distress
but I won't show I'm still poor
you can always say my attic has its charm
you can always say you did no major harm
you can always say that summer had its charm
and that you did no major harm
oh, spare me if you please
symptoms are so deep
something here's so wrong
nothing is complete
nowhere to belong
symptoms are so deep
I think I'd better stay
here on my own
so spare me if you please
251. Verde vinho - Paulo Alexandre
Ninguém na rua na noite fria,
Só eu e o luar;
Voltava a casa quando vi que havia
Luz num velho bar.
Não hesitei,
Fazia frio e nele entrei.
Estando tão longe da minha terra
Tive a sensação,
De ter entrado numa taberna
De Braga ou Monção;
E um homem velho se acercou
E assim falou :
Vamos brindar com vinho verde
Que é do meu Portugal
E o vinho verde me fará recordar
A aldeia branca que deixei atrás do mar.
Vamos brindar com verde vinho
P'ra que possa cantar, canções do Minho
Que me fazem sonhar,
Com o momento de voltar ao lar.
Falou-me então daquele dia triste,
O velho Luís;
Em que deixara tudo quanto existe,
P'ra fazer feliz;
A noiva, a mãe, a casa, o pai
E o cão também.
Pensando agora naquela cena
Que tão estranha vi;
Recordo a mágoa, recordo a pena,
Que com ele vivi;
Bom português
Regressa breve e vem de vez !
Vamos brindar com vinho verde
Que é do meu Portugal
E o vinho verde me fará recordar
A aldeia branca que deixei atrás do mar.
Vamos brindar com verde vinho
P'ra que possa cantar, canções do Minho
Que me fazem sonhar,
Com o momento de voltar ao lar.
250. Uma casa portuguesa - Amalia Rodrigues
Numa casa portuguesa fica bem
pão e vinho sobre a mesa.
E se à porta humildemente bate alguém,
senta-se à mesa co'a gente.
Fica bem esta franqueza, fica bem,
que o povo nunca desmente.
Uma alegria da pobreza
está nesta grande riqueza
de dar e ficar contente.
Quatro paredes caiadas,
um cheirinho a alecrim,
um cacho de uvas doiradas,
duas rosas num jardim...
Um São José de azulejos
mais o sol da Primavera,
uma promessa de beijos,
dois braços à minha espera...
É uma casa portuguesa, com certeza!
É, com certeza, uma casa portuguesa!
No conforto pobrezinho do meu lar,
há fartura de carinho.
E a cortina da janela, o luar,
mais o sol que bate dela...
Basta pouco, poucochinho p'ra alegrar
uma existência singela...
É só amor, pão e vinho
e um caldo verde, verdinho
a fumegar na tigela.
Quatro paredes caiadas,
um cheirinho a alecrim,
um cacho de uvas doiradas,
duas rosas num jardim...
Um São José de azulejos
mais o sol da Primavera,
uma promessa de beijos,
dois braços à minha espera...
É uma casa portuguesa, com certeza!
É, com certeza, uma casa portuguesa!
249. Lisboa menina e moça - Paulo de Carvalho
No castelo, ponho um cotovelo
Em Alfama, descanso o olhar
E assim desfaz-se o novelo
De azul e mar
À ribeira encosto a cabeça
A almofada, na cama do Tejo
Com lençóis bordados à pressa
Na cambraia de um beijo
Lisboa menina e moça, menina
Da luz que meus olhos vêem tão pura
Teus seios são as colinas, varina
Pregão que me traz à porta, ternura
Cidade a ponto luz bordada
Pregão que me traz à porta, ternura
Cidade a ponto luz bordada
Toalha à beira mar estendida
Lisboa menina e moça, amada
Cidade mulher da minha vida
Lisboa no meu amor, deitada
Cidade por minhas mãos despida
Lisboa menina e moça, amada
Cidade mulher da minha vida

248. To let myself go - Ane Brun
To let myself go
To let myself flow
Is the only way of beeing
There´s no use telling me
There´s no use taking a step back
A step back for me
247. The end has a start - Editors
I don't think that it's
Gonna rain again today
There's a devil at your side
But an angel on her way
Someone hit the light
'Cause there's more here to be seen
When you caught my eye
I saw everywhere I'd been
And wanna go to
You came on your own
That's how you'll leave
With hope in your hands
And air to breathe
I won't disappoint you
As you fall apart
Some things should be simple
Even an end has a start
Someone hit the light
'Cause there's more here to be seen
When you caught my eye
I saw everywhere I'd been
And wanna go to
You came on your own
That's how you'll leave
With hope in your hands
And air to breathe
You lose everything
By the end
Still my broken limbs
You find time to mend
More and more people
I know are getting ill
Pull something good from
The ashes now be still
You came on your own
That's how you'll leave
With hope in your hands
And air to breathe
You lose everything
By the end
Still my broken limbs
You choose to mend
You came on your own
That's how you'll leave
You came on your own
That's how you'll leave
You came on your own
You came on your own

246. Boat behind - Kings of Convenience
So we meet again after several years
Several years of separation
Moving on, moving around
Did we spend this time chasing the other's tail?
Singing Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you
Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you
Winter and Spring, Summer and Fall
You're a windsurfer crossing the ocean I'm the boat behind
Skiffle and rag, shuffle and waltz
You're the up-tip-toe ballerina, I'm the chorus line:
Singing
Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you
Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you
River and sea, picking up salt
Through the air as a fluffy cloud falling down as rain.
Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you
Ohohohoh, I could never belong to you - oohooh
I could never belong to you -ooh ooh
I could never belong to you -ooh ooh

245. No one's gonna love you - Band of Horses
It's looking like a limb torn off
Or altogether just taken apart
We're reeling through an endless fall
We are the ever-living ghost of what once was
But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do
And anything to make you smile
It is my better side of you to admire
But they should never take so long
Just to be over then back to another one
But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do
But someone,
They could have warned you
When things start splitting at the seams and now
The whole thing's tumbling down
Things start splitting at the seams and now
If things start splitting at the seams and now,
It's tumbling down
Hard.
Anything to make you smile
You are the ever-living ghost of what once was
I never want to hear you say
That you'd be better off
Or you liked it that way
But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do
But someone
They should have warned you
When things start splitting at the seams and now
The whole thing's tumbling down
Things start splitting at the seams and now
If things start splitting at the seams and now,
It's tumbling down
Hard

244. Smile - Pearl Jam
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make you smile?
When the sun don't shine? (Shine at all)
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make me smile?
When the sun don't shine, it don't shine at all
Don't it make me smile?
I miss you already... I miss you always
I miss you already... I miss you all day
This is how I feel...
I miss you already... I miss you always
Three crooked hearts, swirls all around.

243. Uprising - Muse
The paranoia is in bloom, the PR
The transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs
Keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around
(So come on!)
Another promise, another scene, another
A package not to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(So come on!)
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take its toll if you could
Flick the switch and open your third eye, you'd see that
We should never be afraid to die
(So come on!)
Rise up and take the power back, it's time that
The fat cats had a heart attack, you know that
Their time is coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
Hey .. hey ... hey .. hey!
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
Hey .. hey ... hey .. hey!

242. The cave - Mumford & Sons
It's empty in the valley of your heart,
The sun it rises slowly as you walk,
Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind.
The harvest left no food for you to eat,
You cannibal you meat eater you see,
But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat.
But I will hold on hope,
And I won't let you choke,
On the noose around your neck,
And I'll find strength in pain,
And I will change my ways,
I'll know my name as it's called again.
'Cause I have other things to fill my time,
You take what is your's and I'll take mine,
Now let me at the truth which will refresh my broken mind.
So tie me to a post and block my ears,
I can see widows and orphans through my tears,
I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears.
But I will hold on hope,
And I won't let you choke,
On the noose around your neck,
And I'll find strength in pain,
And I will change my ways,
I'll know my name as it's called again.
So come out of your cave walking on your hands,
And see the world hanging upside down,
you can understand dependence when you know the maker's hand.
So make your siren's call,
And sing all you want,
I will not hear what you have to say.
Cause I need freedom now,
And I need to know how,
To live my live as it's meant to be.
And I will hold on hope,
And I will let you choke,
On the noose around your neck,
And I find strength in pain,
And I will change my ways,
I'll know my name as it's it's called again.

241. Your brother is my only hope - Le Sport
Tell the girls to hold their breath your brother's back in town
Cathy, Lisa, Mary-Beth your brother is the pretty one
He's been to England and Japan and to the USA
While you sat in your cloud of smoke your brother is my only hope
So I might as well dance and get down with the eurosport beat
Coz in just a few years it will all be to late
You know Kafka you know Sartre you party with James Joyce
You know their books and mama said that comics are for little boys
So I might as well dance and get down with the eurosport beat
Coz in just a few years it will all be to late

240. The weight of the world - Editors
Keep a light on those you love
They will be there when you die
Baby, there's no need to fear
Baby, there's no need to cry
Every little piece in your life
Will add up to one
Every little piece in your life
Well, it means something to someone
You've fused my broken bones
Back together and then
Lift the weight of the world
From my shoulders again
Every little piece in your life
Will add up to one
Every little piece in your life
It will mean something to someone
Every little piece in your life
Will add up to one
Every little piece of your life
Will mean something to someone
You touch my face
Scarred with spurs in my ear
There are tears in my eyes
Love replaces fear
Touch my face
Scarred with spurs in my ear
There are tears in my eyes
Love replaces fear, fear
Every little piece in your life
Will add up to one
Every little piece in your life
Will mean something to someone
Every little piece in your life
Will add up to one
Every little piece of your life
Will mean something to someone

239. On a good day - Joanna Newsom
Hey hey hey the end is near
On a good day you can see the end from here
But I won't turn back now though the way is clear
I will stay for the remainder
I saw a life and I called it mine
I saw it drawn so sweet and fine
And I had begun to fill in all the lines
Right down to what we'd name her
Our nature does not change by will
In the Winter 'round the ruined mill
The creek is lying flat and still
It is water though it's frozen
So, across the years and miles and through
On a good day you can feel my love for you
Will you leave me be so that we can stay true
To the path that you have chosen?

238. Intervalo - Per7ume
Vida em câmara lenta,
Oito ou oitenta,
Sinto que vou emergir,
Já sei de cor todas as canções de amor,
Para a conquista partir.
Diz que tenho sal,
Não me deixes mal,
Não me deixes…
No livro que eu não li,
No filme que eu não vi,
Na foto aonde eu não entrei,
Noticia do jornal
O quadro minimal… Sou eu…
Vida á média rés,
Levanta os pés
Não vás em futebóis, apesar…
Do intervalo, que é quando eu falo,
Para não me incomodar.
Diz que tenho sal,
Não me deixes mal,
Não me deixes…
No livro que eu não li,
No filme que eu não vi,
Na foto aonde eu não entrei,
Noticia do jornal
O quadro minimal… Sou eu…
Não me deixes já
Historia que não terminou
Não me deixes…
No livro que eu não li,
No filme que eu não vi,
Na foto aonde eu não entrei,
Noticia do jornal
O quadro minimal… Sou eu…
No livro que eu não li,
No filme que eu não vi,
Na foto aonde eu não entrei,
Noticia do jornal
O quadro minimal… Sou eu…

237. Von - Sigur Rós
"Von" ("Hope")
Vonlenska is a term used to describe the unintelligible lyrics sung by the band.
It is also commonly known by the English translation of its name, Hopelandic.
It takes its name from "Von", a song on Sigur Rós’s debut album Von where it was first used.
Vonlenska is a non-literal language, without fixed syntax, and differs from constructed languages that can be used for communication. It focuses entirely on the sounds of language; lacking grammar, meaning, and even distinct words. Instead, it consists of emotive non-lexical vocables and phonemes; in effect, Vonlenska uses the melodic and rhythmic elements of singing without the conceptual content of language. In this way, it is similar to the use of scat singing in vocal jazz. The band’s website describes it as “a form of gibberish vocals that fits to the music”.
